Having fun and celebrating service Somerston has no more valuable asset than it's people, which is why we decided to dedicate a whole week to recognising and celebrating their contribution to the business. Each hotel and team was given the opportunity to come up with some fun activities to show just how much the team means to us and they showed their usual ingenuinity and sense of fun! Gearing up for Let's Go Green Day As a company Somerston has made a commitment to reduce the negative environmental impact of our business and to use energy more efficiently. To continue this commitment and to ensure that it remains a key focus we are delighted to announce the date of our second Let's Go Green Day will be Friday 27th August 2010. Let's Go Green Day is an opportunity for our hotel and corporate teams to go that extra mile and make a personal contribution to us being an eco-friendly organisation. We'll be handing our prizes to those hotels which make the best endeavour to reduce energy and we'll encourage changes in the way we work, including simple changes such as switching off unnecessary lights, unplugging electrical equipment, stopping using standby and cutting our energy consumption.
